Episode 004: The Passing of the Hat
(Episode 004: Luffy's Past! The Red-haired Shanks Appears!)

     Dialogue Edit:
When Luffy's hat begins to float away, there is added dialogue in the dub.

     Tidbit:
Mmm.. Irish BGM, m'lad.

     Clip Edit:
Skipped a clip of Ben Beckman smoking after Luffy asked to join Shanks' crew.

     Digital Edit:
"Anchor" on Luffy's shirt was removed, [Dub|Sub] as well as some bottles of sake on the tables. [Dub|Sub] [Dub|Sub] [Dub|Sub]

     Dialogue Edit:
Luffy said his punches were like a pistol, this got changed to rocket.

Lucky Roux tells Luffy that he's still a kid and that Yasopp has a kid about his age too, Yasopp talking is cut out.

     Digital Edit:
Yasopp's name on his headband was removed. [Dub|Sub]

     Clip Edit:
Skipped the clip with Makino right after Shanks' crew starts laughing at Luffy for drinking juice.

Also skipped a few seconds of Yasopp and Lucky Roux as soon as Higuma comes in.

     Digital Edit:
The bottle of sake beside Shanks is gone. [Dub|Sub]

     Color Edit:
Shanks offers Higuma the last bottle, color changed. [Dub|Sub]

     Clip Edit:
Skipped a close up of Shanks after Luffy first yelled at him.

And skipped a close up of Makino after Shanks yelled at Luffy for the Gomu Gomu fruit.

The outside of Makino's bar is cut out (the part where Luffy was yelling again)

     Dialogue Edit:
While Makino was running to search for the Mayor, then ran with him to search for Luffy, there originally was no talking.

     Clip Edit:
The flashback of the reason why Luffy went to Higuma again (he heard them talking bad about Shanks again) is cut out.

     Digital Edit:
The gun pointed at Shanks is a cork gun. Also, Ben's cig is gone. [Dub|Sub] [Dub|Sub]

     Dialogue Edit:
Shanks' line, "With that pistol, you will risk your life" was editted out, I take note of this because Luffy repeats this line when he first meets Usopp.

     Color Edit:
The color of Lucky Roux's gun is different. [Dub|Sub]

     Dialogue Edit:
Lucky Roux uses his own gun to shoot the bandit with the gun pointed at Shanks, and the bandit dies. They changed this, saying that Lucky Roux's cap gun scared the bandit so much he collapsed. Dubbed Shanks then tells Higuma that when that bandit wakes up, tell him it was just a cap gun.

     Digital Edit:
Ben Beckman's cigarette was editted out when he attacks the bandits.

After he finishes off the bandits, he speaks to Higuma. His gun was editted out. [Dub|Sub]

When Shanks panics, Ben Beckman smiles. His cigarette is gone. [Dub|Sub]

     Clip Edit:
The scene where Luffy was crying switched to the scene with Shanks' missing arm again (showed it twice).

     Digital Edit:
Ben's cig is gone again.

The word on this pirate (one of Buggy's henchmen) was editted out. [Dub|Sub]

     Clip Edit:
The dub completely skips the next 10 or so seconds of Luffy getting up from falling and the shocked look on Nami's face.
