Episode 009: The Teller of Tales
(Episode 009: Honorable Liar? Captain Usopp)

New characters introduced: Usopp, Kaya, Kurahadol (Klahadore), Piiman (Pepper), Ninjin (Carrot), Tamanegi (Onion)

     Clip Edit:
Syrup Village changing from night to day is cut short.

The chimney, the birds.. the peaceful setting of Syrup Village wasn't there.

     Dialogue Edit:
Zoro wants sake, Zolo wants juice.

     Clip Edit:
A 1-2 second clip of Syrup Village is cut out, this happens right after we see what Luffy and company are up to.

     Name Change:
Usopp Pirate crew is called the Veggie Pirates.

     Clip Edit:
The grassy clip of Syrup Village is gone.

After Usopp tells Luffy and company that he had 80 million men, a 1 second shot of all the mini pirate flags he had all around is cut out.

I believe the scene where Usopp's little pirate flags falling down is taken out.

     Tidbit:
Oh dear, dubbed Usopp said pistol. As many of you know, even young Luffy wasn't allowed to say that his punches were like a pistol or could present Luffy call his attack Gomu Gomu no Pistol. Also, Usopp's pachinko wasn't mentioned.

     Dialogue Edit:
It was at this part where Luffy repeats what Shanks told Higuma when Shanks had a pistol to his head. Because in the dub, Shanks never said anything about risking your life on a pistol, dubbed Luffy never mentioned it here either.

Ok, I sort of lied.. sort of.. dubbed Luffy asks Usopp if he'd stake his life on them bluffing, though it has no relation to what Shanks said in the past. Also, there was no dialogue when Luffy was staring at Usopp, you can tell anyways because his mouth doesn't move in this scene until Usopp gives in.

Luffy gets extra dialogue for the next while. Also, dubbed Luffy saying "stake your life on it" sounds violent in 4Kids standards.. something like that sentence is kinda rare to hear coming from the dubbed One Piece :/

And dubbed Luffy apparently DID get all that speech from Shanks.. hmm..

     Digital Edit:
The word "meshi" (food) on the sign is taken off. [Dub|Sub]

     Dialogue Edit:
Luffy doesn't originally have dialogue while we see Yasopp firing at an apple.

     Digital Edit:
Yasopp's gun got a color change, and his name on his headband is still gone. [Dub|Sub]

     Digital Edit:
The "Party's Bar" on Makino's sign is gone still. [Dub|Sub]

Anchor. Milk. Yasopp. [Dub|Sub]

More Milk. [Dub|Sub]

No sake for Shanks' crew. [Dub|Sub]

     Clip Edit:
The shot with the old man of the restaurant at this point of the episode is gone.

     Digital Edit:
"Meshi" still gone. [Dub|Sub]

     Dialogue Edit:
Pepper says that "ogresses" (female ogres I guess) eat people, Piiman said "onibaba" (witch).

     Clip Edit:
An extra scene was placed, it was with the body guards at the gate.

     Dialogue Edit:
The reasons why the Usopp Pirate crew like Usopp are different.

     Name Change:
Luffy's Gomu Gomu no "Sorry to Intrude" is changed to Gum Gum Rocket. It was just a gag technique, so it was really a rocket anyways.
