  (Episode 021: An Unexpected Guest! Sanji's Food and Gin's Grace) New characters introduced: Patty, Carne, Gin (Ghin), Don Krieg Clip Edit: Right after the episode title, the clip showing the W+C sign above the bathroom door is cut out. Digital Edit: The way the man who needed the bathroom opened the door was slightly changed. [Dub|Sub] Dialogue Edit: As the man opens the door, he hears Patty recite his greetings to customers. Patty's script was slightly altered, and instead of calling customers "mere bastard", in the dub it was just "squidface" for obvious reasons. His saying, "Customers are God" is changed to "Customers are King". Clip Edit: The W+C few seconds clip is cut out again. Digital Edit: W+C in the scene after is cleaned off. [Dub|Sub] The menu sign behind Patty as he walked to Sanji is cleaned off. [Dub|Sub] Dialogue Edit: Dubbed Patty asks Sanji why blood is coming out of the customer if customers are the blood of the restaurant.. but due to the blood cleanup, there is no blood on Fullbody's face. Clip Edit: When Sanji drops Fullbody, the clip showing the outside of Baratie is taken out. The clip that showed Fullbody struggling to get up after getting kicked by Zeff is taken out. Digital Edit: The cross on a woman's necklace was editted out for religious reasons. But at least Pandaman is still there ^^ [Dub|Sub] The Marine soldier apologizes for letting Krieg's man escape, and then is suddenly shot by a mystery man with a gun. In the dub, the man in the shadows kicked the Navy officer down and the scene with the gun is cut out. [Dub|Sub] Dialogue Edit: When Ghin appears, dubbed Luffy made it sound like he's never seen a real pirate before! "A real pirate!! :D" Clip Edit: The clip where Gin walks past Fullbody holding a gun was editted out. [Sub] Patty practices his greeting towards customers on Gin, and said it'd be a problem if he had no money. The clip where Gin pointed a gun at Patty's forehead was taken out. The clip of the people cheering on Patty is cut out. A bit that had Patty yelling at Gin is cut out. Patty begins to kick Gin while he's on the floor. 4Kids paused it so it doesn't really look like he's kicking Gin. Afterwards, a few seconds were taken out that zoomed in on the kicking. Dialogue Edit: When Gin was kicked out by Patty, originally Luffy didn't talk to him that early. Clip Edit: The short clips of Sanji lighting up his cigaratte and smoking is cut out. Dialogue Edit: Dubbed Sanji explained to Gin the ingredients in his meal he gave to him. In the original, Sanji explained how anybody that is hungry is a customer. Clip Edit: The clip of Gin swallowing and seeing Sanji's face is cut out.. Dubbed Gin immediately ate. Digital Edit: While Ghin was eating, dubbed Sanji had an extra line on his cheek to show that he has a round lollipop in his mouth.. in an attempt to not let any poor kids know that he originally had a smoke! [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: When Sanji asks Luffy why he attacked the restaurant, Luffy claimed that it was self-defense. While he says that, the camera goes to the restaurant and shows the blown up roof. This is cut out. Dialogue Edit: Sanji tells Luffy that Owner Zeff was once a chef of a notorious pirate ship. Dubbed Sanji said that Zeff used to cook for a very famous pirate.. the only thing wrong here was that you learn later on that Zeff was the captain and cook for that notorious pirate ship :) Also, in the original, you learn that the chefs currently working used to be fierce pirates after his fame. Name Change: Dubbed Krieg's crew is called the Pirate Armada. In the original it didn't really have a name. Also, I'm not too sure about this one, but as dubbed Carne was explaining who Don Krieg was to Patty, he told him that he owned 50 bloodthirsty.. men, I think. I'm not too sure. In the original it was 50 pirate ships. Digital Edit: As Gin was leaving, Owner Zeff comes out. The word Baratie on the restaurant was cleaned off. [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: They'd show Luffy rocking back and forth on the chair while the camera moves back and forth, watching the hardworking chefs and laid back Luffy. They only cut it a little shorter in the dub by removing a scene with a cook dumping potatoes into the pot. Color Edit: While Zoro was shoving a glass of water down Luffy's throat (ah, great scene, great scene..) Sanji was pouring a glass of wine for a lady. The color was originally red but it was changed to look like grapefruit juice. [Dub|Sub] Oh, and as the customers eating look at Luffy's table, a glass of wine sitting on a man's table looks like it's empty or that it holds water. Also any other wine glasses in this scene that looked like it had wine was changed to some other color. [Dub|Sub] Digital Edit: Corresponding to the previous edit, a green wine bottle on another table was taken out. [Dub|Sub] Dialogue Edit: Sanji pours some wine for a lady and hears the ruckus going on at Luffy's table. He originally thought that they were annoying and caused too much noise.. dubbed Sanji said he was just serving up the best grapefruit juice in the restaurant. Color Edit: When dubbed Sanji talking about the best grapefruit juice, the color remained the same (at least I think it did). When he tells the man beside the lady to pour it himself, the color changed. [Dub|Sub] Digital Edit: The "WB" on Nami's shirt is digitally taken off again. [Dub|Sub] Dialogue Edit: At the end when Gin reports back to Don Krieg how a restaurant saved his life, he said he could show Don Krieg the way because you find out that something's wrong with the ship. In the dubbed, Gin told Krieg that the floating restaurant could be theirs. When Sanji told Nami that there was a huge obstacle between them, Zeff heard this and told Sanji that he's not needed in the restaurant anymore and that he should just get lost. In the dub, he almost sounds.. supportive, "go follow your dreams, Sanji.." .. but we realize in the next dubbed episode that Zeff ain't that supportive no more. |
