  (Episode 023: Protect Baratie! The Great Pirate, Zeff the Red Leg) New characters introduced: Mihawk Clip Edit: Right at the beginning, the right side of Zeff as he walks (we see the left side, and then we were supposed to see the right side right after) is cut out. Dialogue Edit: The chefs in the original were pretty much astonished at the fact that even Don Krieg's 50 fleets couldn't get through the Grand Line. In the dub, it was changed a little, I guess you can say that the chefs were amazed that Don Krieg would even have the guts to go to the Grand Line. Name Change: "Red Shoes the Pirate"? or isn't it supposed to be "Zeff the Red Leg". Dialogue Edit: Don Krieg was amazed that such a pirate was still alive, the not-dubbed Don Krieg. Dialogue Edit: From what I hear from the dubbed, Zeff dyed his shoes red, unless their message really was meant to be that Zeff got his shoes dyed red with the blood of his enemies. When dubbed Luffy asks Zeff if he really did go to the Grand Line, he said yes. In the original, Zeff said he "kinda" made it through, which makes us wonder what happened. Clip Edit: A shot of a wine glass and a bottle is cut out. [Sub] Dialogue Edit: Krieg's fleet was really trashed in seven days, not eight :p Clip Edit: The chefs looking up to see Zoro and Usopp is cut out. Digital Edit: The "WB" on Nami's shirt is still gone, look at previous episodes for screenshots. Clip Edit: The clip of the very injured chefs after we see Nami hiding a wanted poster is cut out. Sanji shifting his hands to light a cig was removed, and him lighting it was replaced with a still scene of him sitting down. Digital Edit: Look, more lollipop! [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: The poor clip of the chefs after Zeff tells them to leave Baratie is cut out again. Sanji's hand with a cig is cut out. [Sub] Tidbit: Hey, guess what! It was this scene, I believe (Sanji flips the table) I heard a possible dub theme for Sanji.. doesn't compare with the original but it's ok. Dialogue Edit: Zoro says that they can go fight Don Krieg (and the crew's not leaving) because he's still battered up, although in the dubbed he says that they have to fight him sooner or later, he's looking for One Piece afterall.. Digital Edit: Wine bottle behind Sanji is removed, this scene occurs when Gin tells them about a single man destroying their 50 ships. [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: The part where Gin explains about a man with hawk eyes - the shot of Sanji was taken out. Audio Edit: In the original when Luffy heard about the kind of place the Grand Line was like, we sort of hear him and it sounds like.. he's startled. And then boom - with a full grin he's dead excited about it. My main point here, and a picky edit at that (but all of you want to know the full detail about the 4Kids dub, right?) dubbed Luffy was giggling very loudly so we already know that he loves the place! Dialogue Edit: When we see Don Krieg's ship, Patty was still talking about getting out of the mess, but in the dub Krieg is already speaking to his men. Digital Edit: The word "WAR" on the back of this pirate's shirt was removed. [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: The man getting shot by Don Krieg after hesitating about going to the Grand Line was removed. Digital Edit: We see a man with a candle of green flame coming closer to the ships, and as you can see in this screenshot, the part of the massive sword was removed so it didn't look like a cross. [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: The shot of the wide open door and the chefs readying to defend is cut out. Digital Edit: Mihawk's sword got a big edit! No crosses for the little kids. [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: When Yosaku and Johnny meet up with Luffy and the gang, they explain the situation with Nami. There were two images of Nami (from their memory) explaining what happened, and those two images of Nami switched places with each other. Digital Edit: Another "Mihawk's sword" edit here, even in the fog/dust. [Dub|Sub] |
