Sanji VS the Iron Wall Pearl) New characters introduced: Pearl Dubbed Title Meaning: Pearl Jam, according to Wikipedia.org, was "one of the most popular bands of the grunge music era in the early 1990s." Clip Edit: Some of the repeating clips while Luffy and Zeff were talking in the beginning were cut out, just to keep the chatting short. Digital Edit: We all know.. we all know.. but it's just Sanji's lollipop x.o [Dub|Sub] While Krieg was saying how they posed to be the Marines and pretended to give up by waving a white flag, you see a semi-transparent flag for the Marine and the white flag. We all know by now that the Marine is definitely changed to Navy (as well as their symbol, just remade), but even the white flag was changed too! [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: The pirate on the right hand side commenting about Krieg's plan didn't get any dialogue, and so the clip with him talking was removed. Dialogue Edit: And about those dubbed pirates.. they're making silly lines up :) Such as.. "I'd like to make a surprise attack on his kitchen" (remember that Krieg wanted Baratie because it'd be a great ambushing ship). Clip Edit: Another of Krieg's men got shot by him, this is cut out, including him falling in the water. The semi-frightened look of Krieg's pirates after one man got shot was duplicated, it was shown after Krieg "shot the pirate" (was not shown in the dub) and shown normally like it should've. Digital Edit: The things on these pirates' shirts are erased. [Dub|Sub] Dialogue Edit: There originally weren't any dialogue when we see flashbacks of Sanji and the sinking Orbit (ship he was originally on). Digital Edit: Another line added on Sanji's cheek to again show that the lollipop is in his mouth. [Dub|Sub] Pirate shirt edit once again. [Dub|Sub] Name Change: Just a minor change. Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Oogama (Scythe) is dubbed Gum Gum Giant Scythe. Clip Edit: The clip of the pirates on top of a piece of wood after the Scythe attack is cut out. Dialogue Edit: In the original, Zeff told Sanji to carefully watch how Luffy fights. This was somewhat significant, and it wasn't mentioned in the dub. Clip Edit: Added a scene of luffy on top of the broken mast, this is right after the 4Kids commercial. As the Fin was coming out, the image of Luffy was mirrored. [Dub|Sub] Name Change: The Sabagashira #1 is dubbed Mackeral Head. This is the mini ship thinger that Patty and Carne attempt to use against Krieg. Clip Edit: Skipped a scene of Luffy when the Sabagashira #1 was shooting at Krieg. The astonished Luffy and pirates is cut out, and Sanji leaping from the fin was shown at a later scene, but what's funny is that you still hear the sound of someone leaping before dubbed Sanji actually begins to leave the ground. XD Clip Edit: Quick shot of Zeff while the smoke clears is cut out. Dialogue Edit: A bit of a changed dialogue here. Krieg, in the original, seems to recognize Sanji's kick to be like Zeff's, and the chefs said "Sanji's kick has appeared" which just makes the scene feel darn cool. But this wasn't in the dub. Sanji said that he was trying to kill Patty and Carne XD great scene. Carne calling Sanji an Itanlian Spaghetti.. Sanji got called a bastard too. A liiiittle violent for 4Kids' standards (and so it wasn't mentioned). The Mackeral Head was destroyed by Sanji (by dialogue), but at least the Sabagashira #1 was "nearly destroyed" XP .. picky edit. Clip Edit: Added an extra clip of the back shot of Patty and Carne in front of the pirates. The scene of the Krieg pirates' feet (scrolling from left to right) after Patty and Carne are done yelling at Sanji is cut out. Short clip of Luffy's blank-ish look as the fighting chefs were getting beat up is cut out. Name Change: Blech, they mentioned East Blue like once thus far, and this time it's still Eastern Sea. Clip Edit: Back shot of Patty and Carne as they face the pirates is cut out. Dialogue Edit: Added extra dialogue from Patty and Carne as we see Baratie from far away. Their mention of the number of times they've been in restaurants and such (statistics) was not told. Digital Edit: Kanji on the sheet flashback Carne was holding was cleaned off. [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: A whole bunch of clips during the recollection was switched around. Patty and Carne fighting in the kitchen is cut out. Another close up of Zeff as Pearl comes out is cut out. Tidbit: Ouuhhch yeah.. if you haven't known already, Pearl is a surfer-dude, I guess, and he has a surfer's accent, included with surfing terms. I've never wiped out once Bro! Name Change: Pearl's Pearl Present was dubbed Pearl Surprise. Digital Edit: Yet another pirate shirt edit. [Dub|Sub] Dialogue Edit: Pearl says in the original that in his last 61 battles, he have won them unharmed, and have never even spilled a single drop of blood in a battle. In the dub, he says that he's been in over 61 battles and he has never wiped out even once. Clip Edit: A back shot of Luffy is cut out. Pearl noticing a small nose bleed after being surprisingly hit from behind is cut out. First sign of blood Pearl.. oh no. But in the dub, the pirates were trying to calm Pearl down because he was "injured a lot". Luffy picking his nose is cut out.. heh. The frightened Krieg pirates after Pearl lit himself on fire was removed, as well as their dialogue about it. Dialogue Edit: Sanji was supposed to have dialogue as he was kicking Pearl, but it was silent. Clip Edit: After Sanji kicks Pearl, two pirates were amazed/surprised/etc at that. Strangely, it was a different pair of pirates. Digital Edit: LOLLIPOP!!!!!! AND IT'S HUGE!!!! [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: Sanji putting his cig back in his mouth before attacking again is cut out. The clip of the Krieg pirates on fire is cut out. Clip of Krieg's pirates shocked that Zeff still has his kicking skills is taken out. Name Change: Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Bazooka is still Gum Gum Double Barrel. Clip Edit: The second pair of shocked pirates after Pearl got knocked out is cut out. Color/Digital Edit: Gin's guns got a color change AND are made shorter! [Dub|Sub] Clip Edit: The close up of Zeff right before the end of the episode is cut out. |
