Episode 025: Stranded

After Gin threatens Sanji a little, a shot of Krieg's pirates in the water is cut out.

Sanji putting a cig in his mouth and the camera zooming out was completely taken out. [Sub]

     Dialogue Edit:
In the dub, Zeff told Sanji to give up and run, and Sanji told him that he won't give up. In the original, Zeff told Sanji that he didn't want to hear crap from a puny eggplant, and Sanji yelled back not to call him small anymore.

     Digital Edit:
Dubbed Sanji's lollipop again, wheehehehe~ [Dub|Sub]

     Dialogue Edit:
Sanji originally wanted Gin to point to gun at him instead.

     Name Change:
Pearl's Ultimate Killing Technique Pearl Present was dubbed Absolutely Natural Pearl Surprise.

     Dialogue Edit:
Sanji didn't dodge because Pearl warned him that Gin would pull the trigger, this wasn't mentioned.

     Digital Edit:

     Dialogue Edit:
Originally Gin wasn't that supportive of Sanji when he got hit by Pearl the first time around.

     Clip Edit:
Patty and Carne right after this scene is cut out.

Sanji's short flashbacks were cut very short, some scenes were taken out, like the knife's blade shining from the sun.

     Dialogue Edit:
Dubbed Sanji said that he took Zeff's power, fame, hopes, and his leg. In the original, Sanji said he took Zeff's power and dream away from him.

     Name Change:
Pearl Cross was renamed to Pearl Cymbol.

     Clip Edit:
Sanji's next flashbacks as he fell were cut short also, and a scene like the shot of the earlier Zeff is cut out. Also, the cooks in the flashback were silent in the dub and did not say anything about All Blue existing somewhere.

     Tidbit:
Woo, Veronica Taylor (who does Ash/May in Pokemon) does young Sanji's voice in the flashback, and she does it with the Brooklyn accent as well.

     Name Change:
All Blue was changed to Great Blue.

     Dialogue Edit:
In the dub right at the beginning of the flashback, young Sanji said that he's going to sail the legendary Great Blue. In the original, the cooks were just telling Sanji about a legendary sea named All Blue. So, the dialogue here is sorta mixed up, because the cooks were supposed to tell Sanji about it, not Sanji telling the cooks about it.

     Name Change:
Looks like North/South/East/West Blue are forever called North/South/East/West Sea.

     Dialogue Edit:
So in the dub, the cooks say that the toothfairy and Santa Clause is real, but Great Blue isn't. The cooks in the original were somewhat nicer in their own little way (even if they said All Blue doesn't exist).

     Clip Edit:
One of the cooks offering a fish bone to Sanji is cut out.

Sanji shocked at the word "Pirates" and Zeff's ship coming in are taken out.

     Dialogue Edit:
There used to be dialogue while Zeff's flag waves during the thunderstorm.

     Clip Edit:
Three still shots of the pirates attacking the people on Orbit is taken out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Young Sanji didn't have dialogue before the pirates started making fun of him. And, the pirates made fun of him differently.

     Clip Edit:
The pirates looking up from laughing and Sanji crawling towards Zeff is taken out.

A close up shot of Zeff's leg after kicking Sanji a second time was replaced with a mirror clip of Zeff kicking Sanji to make it look like he lowered his leg instead of raising it before he kicked.

     Dialogue Edit:
We're not supposed to hear Zeff's thoughts after kicking Sanji a second time in the original. The pirates telling Zeff that they should go because of a huge storm coming wasn't mentioned.

I would assume that dubbed Zeff caught on to Sanji's name while listening to the cooks calling out for him, but in the original I don't think he called Sanji by his name (called him a damned kid) in the whole flashback because he didn't know/care.

     Clip Edit:
A quick shot of the close up side of Orbit is taken out.

     Dialogue Edit:
We're not supposed to hear Zeff's thoughts in the whole flashback. It seems that in the dub, we hear a lot of his thoughts underwater this time.

     Color Change:
Fear, for this might be the only time in a long time you'll ever see blood, but it's grey. [Dub|Sub]

     Clip Edit:
Skipped the first clip (before showing the whole mushroom rock) of Sanji looking up to the sky.

     Dialogue Edit:
Sanji says that Zeff's got 10x more food he has, in the original he said 3x at least.

     Clip Edit:
Skipped a quick back shot of Zeff right after that scene.

     Dialogue Edit:
Sanji doesn't originally have dialogue/thoughts while we see the amount of days that have passed.

     Clip Edit:
The close up of the last loaf of bread and Sanji crying is cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Sanji isn't supposed to have dialogue/thoughts when we clearly see that he's almost going to die from starvation, but he did have dialogue/thoughts when he looked over at Zeff's direction.

     Clip Edit:
Young Sanji's flashback of Zeff sacrificing his leg to save him is taken out.

     Dialogue Edit:
In the original, Zeff wondered how many people are like them who are out in the sea starving. If he survived, he'd use the treasure to build a restaurant out in the middle of the sea. In the dub, Zeff said that it was his dream to make a floating restaurant in the sea.

And we didn't hear young Sanji's thoughts in the original while he sees a ship come in.

Back to the present now... Krieg's pirates originally didn't say anything when Sanji stood up.

Dubbed Luffy said "Gum Gum..... Gum Gum Axe!" .. oops!

     Clip Edit:
The piece of wood flying to the screen to show To Be Continued is cut out, and this is followed by one of 4Kids' episode previews with the treasure chest opening up.
