Episode 046: Luffy vs. Zolo
(Episode 066: A Serious Fight! Luffy vs Zoro: The Unexpected Duel! and
Episode 067: Deliver Princess Vivi! Luffy Pirates Depart)

New characters introduced: None

     Clip Edit:
Remember when I said that Nami's moneymaking scheme with Igaram was cut out in the last episode? Well, right after the title for this one, it finally happens. It starts with Nami looking down towards Igaram, who won't let go of Zoro's leg. It seems to continue where it cut off in the last episode. Refer to the ending of what I wrote in 045 if you need to.

     Dialogue Edit:
Talking about the above, Nami originally takes interest in the reward Igaram spoke of at that point. In the dub Zolo was still getting mad about Igaram not letting go of him.

     Clip Edit:
Some stuff out of order. I hate it when it happens. I gave enough patience for Fantastic Voyage o__O; I don't deserve this! After the scene mentioned at first edit, there is a close up of Igaram from when he first mentions the reward for delivering Vivi safely. To recap, that part in the original happens after Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine actually start to run and chase Vivi, while she's on Carue. Altogether it seems that Igaram's close up is supposed to happen before what I mentioned in the first edit.

During that close up of Igaram, he coughs once while he was talking, and that's cut out.

When Nami demands 1 billion beli out of Igaram, he is in shock and "Mah~"'s while holding his throat. That's cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Nami talks about how passing out was just an act and how she could take loads more of alcohol (hand gestures.. notice the hand gestures..). In the dub, she was just sleeping before but not anymore, and when she originally said that she could take a lot more alcohol, she was saying how 1 billion is cheap.

Dubbed Igaram clenches onto his throat and shouts, "one billion!?!" while in the original he "Mah, mah, mah~"'s.

     Clip Edit:
A side shot of Nami quietly saying "gimme" to Igaram while he's still laying on the ground is cut out.

Some clips after the above are gone.. Zoro commenting, Igaram telling Nami that Vivi will probably negotiate the issue if she's delivered safely, and a close up of Nami smiling afterwards. They happen after each other.

After we see Luffy snoring and Zoro and Nami arguing offscreen, there is a shot of both of them while Nami keeps on making Zoro mad, which is cut out. She says, her money is hers, but her agreements are Zoro's agreements. But Zoro doesn't like the sound of her being his boss..

A side view of Zoro and Nami two shots after the above is gone. It's the part where Nami questions Zoro about not being able to beat the guys, but Zoro yells at her to say it again.. which she does in the next scene :p (dialogue from the original only!!)

After Zoro asks Nami what he owed, there is a backshot of Nami and a front shot of Zoro further back. Nami also points one finger out with her eyes closed, saying how he promised to pay back 3 times the amount. Both of these happen before the little mini flashback, but they're cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Sadly though, dubbed Nami sounded like she just wanted the original amount back, while in the original she tagged on the 3x the amount in that scene. In the dub, she sounded like she wanted 100,000 from Zolo, and in the original she straight out told him that the other 200,000 is missing. A bit later in the dub though, Nami said something about interest, but that was it.

     Clip Edit:
After Zoro's long explanation, Nami simply replies with a "too bad". This part is cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Talk about Nami going to hell is of course, cut out. Zoro shouted "I hate you!" while he runs off. Zolo complied pretty calmy.

     Clip Edit:
Shortly after Zoro runs away, Nami talks to Igaram for a while. The first close up of Igaram, which is the close up of his left eye is cut out. The last bit of Nami, where her expression changes after looking at Igaram is cut out too. So it was like, Nami smiling and talking, then right after, the second close up of Igaram before you see Vivi and Carue running in the original, which was cut out, as mentioned in the comparison for 45.

Back to where we're supposed to be now that the moneymaking scheme bit is finished. Remember when I said at the end of 045, it ended exactly at the commercial break for 066? There's a little bit involving Vivi and Carue looking towards the fire that Mr. 5 caused while he was fighting with Miss Monday. That part is repeated, but the shot of her in shock right before the original commercial break is cut out and the one used after the commercial break is put in its stead.

In the dub, right after that and before you see Mr. 5 with a smoking clenched fist, they repeated the part where Miss Monday fell after fighting with Zoro.

The follwoing happen in the original: After Miss Valentine introduces her ability, a close up of her face, Miss Monday's button on the ground, Miss Valentine floating higher for a moment, seeing her drop towards the town, Vivi looking at her, Miss Valentine dropping faster, and seeing through Miss Valentine's point of view where you can see Miss Monday laying on the ground. They all happen after each other. In the dub after Miss Valentine introduces her ability, they inserted the part with Miss Valentine's point of view, and then the rest followed afterwards.

     Dialogue Edit:
Instead of Miss Valentine counting the weight slowly, she was busy saying "heavier, and heavier, and HEAVIER!!" and when she executes her move..

     Name Change:
It is changed to the 10,000 Pound Press! In the original, it was the 10,000 Kilo Press. Also take note that Miss Valentine's and Mr. 5's Devil Fruits were called the same in the original and the dub: Kilo Kilo Fruit and Bomb Bomb Fruit.

     Clip Edit:
A little but unaltered.. but after Mr. 5 tells Vivi that escaping is impossible, she gasps. Afterwards, you can see Miss Monday's flower button slighly covered in the ground between Miss Valentine and Mr. 5, this and Vivi biting her lip afterwards is cut out.

Before we see Zoro running, Mr. 5 picks his nose again, and this is taken out.

     Name Change:
Not too sure if this is an edit, but it's the second time Mr. 5 flings his snot. We know by now that it got changed from Nose Fancy Cannon to Bomb Boogie, but in place of Cannon, dubbed Mr. 5 says Fire. Bomb Boogie Fire? Or just saying Fire as a command?

Vivi calling Zoro Mr. Bushido was cut out last episode, and after Zoro saves her, she calls him Mr. Swordsman in the dub.

     Dialogue Edit:
After a short while, Zolo seems to be frusterated and tells them that he's someone they don't want to mess with. In the original he was freaking out about cutting Mr. 5's snot to protect Vivi.

     Clip Edit:
When Zoro stops Vivi from attacking him, he points his blade dangerously close to her throat, which is cut out.

     Digital Edit:
First digital edit of the episode! Zoro cuts/stops Vivi's Kujaki Slash when she tries to attack him, and points the sword to her. Zoro's entire body moved so the blade is made to appear farther away. It looks like he got a little editting job on the arm, too. [Dub|Sub]

Zoro explains his doings and Vivi listens, the blade is removed from this shot. Also, a little error on the animator's part in this shot as well. The top right corner is actually Carue's tail, but the black is accidentally made transparent. [Dub|Sub]

     Clip Edit:
We take a trip back to somewhere close to the moneymaking scheme area of the episode which is in the first quarter of 66.. to check on Luffy. When Igaram tells Nami Vivi has to survive, he sheds a little tear, and you see Vivi and Carue running. This was cut out if you remember from last comparison. After a short scene, you see a reflection of the moon in the water and.. you see what Luffy's up to. That's where the dub decided to go.

The part where we see a backshot of Luffy while he zips up is cut out. He is immediately seen walking to the left in the dub.

     Dialogue Edit:
Instead of wanting to go back to sleep, dubbed Luffy was going to walk it off.

     Clip Edit:
After dubbed Luffy finds the dead/half dead people on the ground, we go back to the future a bit. That time when Zoro tells Vivi he was going to save her, Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine didn't look too impressed. Right after that, there is a shot of a building with the moon behind it, and Nami talks to Igaram.

When Nami asked Igaram her first question, he hesitated and looked to the right a little. That and the close up of Nami following it are cut out.

After Igaram explains the first bit of how Baroque Works operates, Nami shrugging before speaking is cut out.

Following the Nami shot above, the half-faced shot of Igaram is cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
There was no mention of Baroque Works specializing in espionage, assassination, theft, and bounty hunting.

The main objective of Baroque Works was mentioned later and instead of an Ideal Nation, it was a New World Order.

     Clip Edit:
Two screens later after looking down from the sky at Igaram and Nami, the part that had the other half of Igaram's face is taken out.

Two screens later again, insert a repeat of the first shot of Igaram at the beginning of their talk. He was on the ground talking with his head up.

After Igaram and Nami finish talking, we go back to Miss Valentine and Mr. 5. The first group shot of them while they're talking to Zoro switches places with the far away view of them, where the fence is closest to the camera.

Right after and before Zoro gets ready, Mr. 5 sticks his finger in his nose again, and that's cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Zoro said he didn't need Luffy's help to take out the two Baroque Works Officer Agents, but Zolo asked Luffy whether he wanted to help or not.

     Clip Edit:
Luffy's first attack that destroyed rock is cut out and placed at a slightly later time. Some scenes following that are tagged along too. That is, Luffy telling Zoro to die and Zoro's reaction towards that. So, let's see.. overall Luffy's first and second attacks (a punch and a kick) switch with each other.

After Zoro kicks Luffy at Miss Valentine and Mr. 5, they talk in the crushed building. Mr. 5 gets up and talks to Luffy in the original, and turns his head a little to him for his agreement. That little turn is cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Miss Valentine talking while she hovers above Zoro (Zoro's talking at this point, but he's not listening to her) is cut out.

Her announcing the 10,000 Kilo Press (Or Pound Press, in this case I guess) was not present.

     Clip Edit:
Zoro puts on his bandana and gets ready to roll. A far away shot of Zoro behind Luffy, and a far away shot of Luffy behind Zoro that follows it are cut out. Afterwards, Vivi's not too sure what's going on.. and that's cut out.

After Luffy's and Zoro's big blows against each other, many buildings are left in debris and the smoke settles. The camera moving from left to right (passing Vivi and Carue further away) to see all the buildings are cut out.

When Vivi and Carue start to slowly move through town, the camera moves into a building (we see some interesting bounty papers on the wall in the process). Before Luffy and Zoro appear again, a short 1 second of Carue's feet walking on the ground is cut out.

After some fighting and before Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine appear again, Zoro getting a cut on Luffy's face and Luffy giving Zoro a blow in the stomach in return is cut out.

Safe to say 66 is over. The first bit of 67 is cut out. This is Miss Valentine and Mr. 5 flying into buildings, and angry faces of Luffy and Zoro. I won't go into much detail. Just know that everything at the beginning of 67 until the shot of Carue's and Vivi's startled faces are cut out.

Luffy and Zoro's auras.. o_o; the still shot of both of them with their fighting auras moving crazy in the background is cut out.

Nami punches both of them to get them to quit. After she does though, a bit of what Luffy and Zoro look like right after the punches is cut out. Carue freaking out again is taken out too. And some more falling slowly after the punches.. (white background, happens before both of them land on the ground)

Vivi asks Nami what she's talking about when she mentions a contract.. there is a close up of Vivi that is cut out, and after that Nami punishes Luffy and Zoro further by punching them again. Those two parts are cut out.

Luffy laughs at the mess, and Vivi sits there kinda startled. In the original, while Luffy and Zoro are talking, the camera's on Vivi and Nami right after, and they seem to be having a conversation too, but we can't hear them since Luffy and Zoro are talking. In the dub, when the camera is on Vivi, the camera moves quickly right before her mouth opens, and the shot of Nami that was supposed to happen afterwards is cut out too.

     Dialogue Edit:
Luffy fought Zoro because he thought that Zoro got mad at the people for not having his favorite food. Dubbed Luffy fought because.. he didn't know that the people were actually bounty hunters. Overall he just probably thought that Zolo attacked them all for no reason.

     Clip Edit:
Nami tries to get Vivi to agree to her conditions, so the camera goes back and forth a little on them. The second close up of Nami before Vivi speaks is cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Dubbed Vivi seems to think that she doesn't have any money at all, but in the original after some certain events occur, she thinks that she has about 500,000 in savings.

Mention of Arabasta being on the verge of war is cut out.

     Clip Edit:
Vivi looking back down, which originally happens before a side shot of Nami and Zoro sitting in the same shot, is cut out.

Two screens later, a shoulder shot of Vivi while she explains what's going on with Arabasta is cut out.

After the second shoulder shot of Vivi that does stay in the dub, seeing Vivi tightening her fists is cut out.

Zoro asks Vivi a question, and she nods. After Nami talks to her in the same scene, she is sort of shocked to hear that Nami knew of such things, and that little bit is cut out.

Two screens later, Vivi looks down, but that little part is cut out. She is already looking down in the dub.

A close up of Zoro's face before Vivi becomes speechless is cut out.

After some silence while the camera kinda twirls around from above, Luffy shifts to ask Vivi a question. The dub cuts that shift and moves on before Luffy moves.

A close up of Luffy's disappointed face while Vivi goes on about not wanting to know Mr. 0's name, and Zoro's close up following that (this happens before Vivi accidentally spills his secret identity) are cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
When the Unluckies appear, there was originally no dialogue.

Instead of the Death List, Zolo says they're on the Hit List.

     Clip Edit:
When Igaram appears, the part where he "Mah, mah, mah~"'s is cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Nami didn't have dialogue in the dub while Luffy's kinda checking Igaram's new outfit out.

     Clip Edit:
Nami slouches over after interrupting Igaram. That and some clips afterwards are cut out. Luffy asks what the deal with the princess is, and Zoro gets up to explain. Luffy agrees, and that's when Nami yells, which is where the dub is.

     Digital Edit:
While there's talk about Crocodile, Baroque on the flag behind him is erased. [Dub|Sub]

     Clip Edit:
When Luffy agrees, Nami holds her head at the end before Igaram departs. That is taken out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Igaram's "Mah"'s are gone, as well as trying to sound like Vivi.

     Name Change:
Like the Log Pose into the Grand Compass, the Eternal Pose is called the Eternal Compass.

     Clip Edit:
Vivi wishes for Igaram's safety, but Igaram tells her that she's the one who's important. Luffy and Zoro smiling is cut out, and Igaram telling Luffy he's leaving Vivi in their care. During that time, Igaram, Vivi, and Luffy are in the same screen. Vivi calls Igaram and looks up to him, which is also cut out. These all happen after each other.

Igaram leaves and the first sight of him in the boat is cut out. Afterwards, Vivi and Nami smile, this is cut out as well.

Vivi stares at the boat and a picture of Igaram flashes in her mind, which is cut out. After that flash, her head is fully turned towards Igaram, but is also missing from the dub.

The black and white scenes are cut out. The first bit of the explosion, everyone who was watching Igaram like this: [Sub], and a huge explosion of the sea that grows bigger and bigger. [Sub]

Luffy and Zoro run, and Zoro tells him to get Usopp and Sanji. After that there is a shot of Usopp and Sanji passed out in the room, which is cut out. That's it, this episode ends right at the eyecatcher.
