Episode 053: Freaky
(Episode 085: Dream of the Outcasts! The Quack Doctor Hiluluk)

New characters introduced: Hiluluk (Hiriluk)

     Clip Edit:
As Luffy and Chopper leave the room, Kureha looks at Nami and Sanji for a brief moment, the camera goes to them, and Kureha looks back. They skipped the part where the camera went to Nami and Sanji so in the dub, Kureha looked to her left, then right back.

     Name Change:
I'm not very sure whether it's a real name change or not. In the 4kids website, they have it as Hiriluk, but reading from the katakana in the title, it's Hiluluk or Hiruluk or whichever you prefer (L and R). If the website is truthful, then it's a name change, but you know, way back they even had "All Blue" instead of "Great Blue" for Sanji's profile.

     Color Edit:
I shouldn't even have this screenshot, but it just shows you how bright the guns turn out to be even when nearly all the colors during that part are tinted blue. [Dub|Sub]

     Clip Edit:
While Hiluluk hides, he coughs and wipes his mouth. On his hand, he sees blood and curses. The part we see his hand covered in blood is cut out.

Hiluluk unpacks his suitcase on top of a sick man's bed, and shortly places a gun on the stool. This part is taken out. The man looks terrified after seeing that (kept in), but Hililuk says it was just his anesthetic gun, which causes the woman to run outside to call the officers. This part is cut out as well.

     Dialogue Edit:
Hiluluk thought that he probably used too much Frog X, while in the dub it was frog juice.

     Clip Edit:
After the first time Kureha speaks during the flashback, there is a far away view of the bridge where she sits on. Hiluluk is walking towards her from the right, and both of them are little black figures. This is cut out, as well as the scene right after, when we see a close up of Kureha with her bottle of umeshu (still editted). That part happens right before you see Hiluluk walking towards the camera, which is where the dub continues showing.

     Dialogue Edit:
Still no mention of Wapol's Doctor Hunt, and I think I mentioned this before.

     Clip Edit:
When Hiluluk starts to try and help Chopper, there is a very short flashback of the time when people were shouting "Abominable Snowman!" before Chopper completely turns his head to see Hiluluk, and this is taken out.

     Digital Edit:
And look what Hiriluk pulls out! A new version of the anesthetic gun. [Dub|Sub]

     Color Edit:
The gun that was shot at Chopper was green too (as well as in the flashbacks..).

     Clip Edit:
As Chopper leaves, Hiluluk's hand on the snow slowly moves while he talks. This part, right before seeing him get up, is cut out.

Right after Chopper turns around to see Hiluluk, two shots are cut out: 1 naked Hiluluk (with his suitcase helping to cover him up) and Chopper with a blank face. This is before a close up of Hiluluk's face as he yells to Chopper in the dub.

When Hiluluk shouts that he was a doctor, there is a far away view of the first shot cut out in the above edit that was cut out here too.

In the original after the part that is cut out in the above, insert a repeat of the close up of Hiluluk's face here (where he shouts his name, "Hiriluk" to Chopper) right before Chopper falls down.

     Digital Edit:

     Dialogue Edit:
Chopper isn't supposed to have any dialogue at all when he wakes up in Hililuk's room.

When Sanji's pouring coffee, he wasn't supposed to have any dialogue either..

Pidgeon liver (am I right?) instead of eye of newt when Hiluluk and Chopper first run away in town.

     Clip Edit:
Before Hiluluk tells Chopper what the thief in his story saw, a few petals of sakura fall in the sky before showing trees of sakura. The first beginning bit with the petals is cut out.

After placing his flask back down, in the dub insert a repeat of the trees of cherry blossoms, then a side serious shot of Hiluluk (from before when he's telling Chopper about the country being sick and about Wapol),

     Dialogue Edit:
After talking to Luffy a bit, Chopper remembers more about Hiluluk. In the dub, Kureha was given dialogue at this point though.

     Clip Edit:
At the beginning of the flashback, the camera moves towards the right to view Chopper on Hiluluk's shoulders, facing the sea. In the dub, the camera was already on them.

     Dialogue Edit:
Nami and Sanji were given thought dialogue in the dub before returning to Chopper's story.

     Clip Edit:
A still shot of Chopper chopping wood for Hiluluk as Chopper pleads to stay with Hiluluk is cut out.

Two shots before Hiluluk hears a noise outside, there were little shots of Chopper and Hiluluk at the table, and laughing together, but they were cut out.

     Clip Edit:
After Hiluluk cries, it's commercial break over at the English side. Right after, there is an insert of the gates of the castle that was previously shown before. It's shown right before a shot of the fireplace.

Kureha talks some more, and returns to the story. The first thing you were supposed to see is Hiluluk's hand covered in blood, and this shot is removed.

     Digital Edit:
Here's Hiluluk's anesthetic gun again. [Dub|Sub]

     Dialogue Edit:
When Hiluluk leaves Kureha's home and walks through the blizzard, in the original he was speaking through his thoughts at the beginning, but in the dub it was Kureha instead.

     Clip Edit:
In the very end on the close up of Hiluluk's face, there was just a little bit more in the original. With determination, he shouts "I'll show you all! The miracle sakura!" right before the To Be Continued. The dub ended just before that.
