  Episode 079: Off the Hook
(Episode 111: The Miracle Sprint! Arabasta Animal Land)

Good morning, class! Today we shall be focusing on Crocodile and his hook. Oh, it is explained in this episode that it was a poison hook that defeated Luffy in this first round, by the way. No, it wasn't the impaling, and no, it wasn't the one later on. Who knows what will happen.

     Clip Edit:
After the title, there are a few transitions from one area of Yuba to the other. The second one is cut.

When Toto talks and says that Yuba is still strong, the screen goes towards Crocodile's new sandstorm and then it focuses on Toto's folded hands. It was cut, maybe because it looked like he was praying.

     Digital Edit:

So then after Toto says that Yuba is alive, the screen changes to Crocodile who says that Yuba will die. The end of the hook that went through Luffy is erased. This edit continues for the next minute or so as long as he keeps Luffy on his hook. Oi, it looks like he's right-side up now.

     Clip Edit:
Crocodile laughs about the rebels. A close shot of Luffy on his hook is cut, as well as some blood dripping on the sand.

When Crocodile tilts his hook to make Luffy's head fall back, a shot of Luffy looking dead is cut.

Right after, a close shot of Crocodile's eye noticing the water on his arm is cut. The next screen is cut too. It's showing Croc's arm drenched in water.

     Digital Edit:

... it's flipped! Hey, he's upside down again, it seems.

Wait, no... the hook is around his neck.

     Clip Edit:
Water dripping by Luffy's feet is cut. This is after Luffy clutches on Crocodile's arm with the last of his strength.

Another close up of Luffy's face is cut.

     Digital Edit:

Hook!

Of course.

     Clip Edit:
After the sandstorm hits Yuba, we go to the crab and the others. The first shot (with a close up of Scissors' moving legs) is cut.

After, frontal view of Zoro who appears to be training is cut.

Sanji tells Nami to leave Zoro alone. He continues talking while he moves his arms a little. Then he takes a puff on his smoke, and then you see him in the same position as you see him in the dub. That means, everything before that is cut.

Right after, a short close up of Zoro's hand lifting his katana is cut.

     Name Change:
Nami decides to give a name to the giant crab they're riding. It was Scissors, but now it's Pincers!

     Digital Edit:
Heehee, Smoker's arm looked funny. (Image)

     Name Change:
Hmm, calling Scissors a Hermit Crab (eng) versus Moving Crab (jp).

     Dialogue Edit:
Of course, no ero power was involved in Scissors' acceleration!

     Clip Edit:
So, Scissors enters the water.. everyone waits to see what happens. Still shots of everyone, with a black pause in between. Safe to say, those pauses aren't there now.

     Digital Edit:
Shout emphs above the crew while Scissors crosses the river are gone.

     Dialogue Edit:
The distance they have to cover before reaching land is changed from 50 kilometers to 10 miles (and no, they are not equal, 1 mile = 1.609344 kilometers).

     Digital Edit:
Shout emphs above Scissors while the crew crosses the river are gone.

     Clip Edit:
A repeat of the Rare Sandora Catfish is placed after the commercials (eng).

     Dialogue Edit:
Vivi's habit of not informing the crew about the important details of Arabasta's animals is only in the original.

     Name Change:
From Super Spot-Billed Duck Squad to Supersonic Duck Squadron, that's minor, yeah? (no?)

     Dialogue Edit:
Luffy's head surfaces from the sand, and a shout for meat is simply just a roaring yell.

     Clip Edit:
When Luffy hears Crocodile's voice in his head, a little flashback is cut. Following the flashback is a super close up of Luffy's head - two of them actually - and they're gone. You'd see these before you see the back of his head, while he tries to free himself.

When Robin brings Luffy up to the surface with her ability, a shot with the bottom half of her face is cut.

     Mistake:
So, Pell arrives. At an attempt to erase the blood, they also erase the part below Pell's mouth. While he talks and opens his mouth, you can spot this erase flashing on and off. It wasn't shadow, so this had to be a mistake. (Image)

     Clip Edit:
Robin starts to walk away. The part where she walks towards the camera (before it shows her walking away from it) is cut, probably because it was focusing too much on the bottom half of her body.

     Dialogue Edit:
Luffy manages to pull on Pell's arm and shout for meat again, but it looks like he's just groaning for food!

     Digital Edit:
Though the Arabasta map retains the names of the places that are visited, labels for the clashing armies were erased. This is after you hear Kohza speak in this episode.

"Capital City Alubarna" on the screen is erased, like before. Nothing new.

Them ropes are erased. You can probably guess why.

     Clip Edit:
A ton of stuff cut. It'll start after the rest of the BW agents arrive and the Mr. 4 pair watch to see them arrive. In the dub, you see a familiar face right after. But what important, is the stuff missing before that. There's a bit of narration that explains what everyone's doing. You see Croc, Vivi's group, the rebels, etc. And then you see a map with arrows, showing that all these groups are going to clash in Alubarna. Clash of swords... then a quiet shot of a town (cut), which appears to be the Port City Nanohana. Then you see this familiar face... Igaram!?

     Digital Edit:
"Port City Nanohana" gone when you see Igaram's back, but you probably saw that coming!
