Episode 081: Two Bad
(Episode 113: Alubarna is Crying! Fierce Fight of Captain Carue!)
Digital Edit:
"Alubarna Southeast Gate" on-screen is missing, before you see what Chopper is up to.
Clip Edit:
Bon Kurei tries to land a blow on Vivi but Carue takes her and dashes away, leaving Bon Kurei stranded. There's a far off view of him that used to be in the middle of Carue disappearing off to the distance, but it's gone.
Vivi is saddened by Carue's efforts to save her from Bon Kurei. She closes her eyes, and when she does, she recalls Carue shielding her when the rebels trampled through. The recollection is cut, as well as a close up of her eyes closed that follows it.
Name Change:
Bon Kurei's Ballet Kenpo is now the Crazy Karate.
Clip Edit:
Carue's in mid-air and frantically flaps to stay up, otherwise they'll fall down to Bon Kurei! Before he gives a final push to hang on, he remembers the white bandage everyone received back on the ship. Usopp asks why Carue was crying, but Luffy tells him not to worry about Vivi. The little flashback is cut.
Name Change:
Bon Kurei's Releve as he runs up the cliff isn't mentioned.
Clip Edit:
Vivi witnesses the battle between the royal army and the rebels, and she closes her eyes and bears her teeth. A rebel getting slashed and a different angle of Vivi following it are cut.
Carue gets shot and starts to fall. Before he completely falls, the screen freezes with impact and Carue remembers Luffy again. These two things are cut and Carue fights on without pause.
Carue remembering the time when Vivi asked him to deliver a letter, the time when Vivi first received him as a gift, and being hugged and cared by a young Vivi (which is an adorable scene) are cut. Afterwards, a close up of Carue trying to tell her to go is cut.
Before Bon Kurei speaks to Sanji for the first time, there is a half-face shot of Sanji that's cut.
Before Sanji and Mr. 2 get on with their fight, the scene changes to Zoro and Nami, who are currently facing the Mr. 1 pair. This entire scene is cut out and put after the scene that was supposed to come after it - Usopp and Chopper's fight with the Mr. 4 pair. So let's do the comparison for that scene and we'll talk about Zoro and Nami in just a bit.
Digital Edit:
Usopp looks for Chopper and sees him lying on his back. The smoke emitting from Chopper's body is gone.
Name Change:
Miss MC's devil's fruit was the Mogu Mogu (Mogu(ra) = Mole) Fruit, and now it's the Diggy Diggy Fruit.
Clip Edit:
After the first baseball blows up, the Zoro and Nami scene comes next! It was supposed to happen before the UsoCho scene.
Digital Edit:
"West Block" is gone.
Dialogue Edit:
In the dub, Nami tries to save her life by offering Beli to the Mr. 1 pair. Also, Mr. 1 states that the first rule of warfare is to pick off the weakest, when it was originally the first rule of assassination.
Clip Edit:
Nami gets a little scared as they approach her. You see a side shot of her with the agents coming from the left side of the screen. Before you do see them, Nami pats her head once and waves her hand a little, both which are cut out.
So that scene is over. We're back to the UsoCho fight, starting with Lasoo's paw stepping on the sand. Let's go over the order again: Original - Sanji, Zoro + Nami, UsoCho, UsoCho ... Dub - Sanji, UsoCho, Zoro + Nami, UsoCho.
When Chopper points at Lasso, there is a close up of its face, then Chopper's, then Usopp's, then a bit of silence between all of them, and finally back to Lasso who has some snot dripping from its nose. The only part kept was the first two - close up of Lasoo and Chopper following after it.
Dialogue Edit:
When you see Lasso's full body, the on-screen kana is gone.
Clip Edit:
After that full body shot, there's an even closer one with Lasso who's about to sneeze. This is cut.
Digital Edit:
When the second baseball blows up right beside Usopp, Chopper rushes to his aid. The shot before kept the smoke from his mouth intact, but when Chopper comes to his side, it's erased.
Clip Edit:
As Chopper explains about the time bombs, you see Mr. 4 walking across the screen very slowly from the right. In the dub, he's already in the middle of the screen.
Name Change:
Miss Merry Christmas, or rather, Ms. Groundhog Day is not a mole, but a woodchuck!
Clip Edit:
Usopp and Chopper bicker, but Miss MC interrupts, causing both of them to look at her. Then they bowed and apologized - this of course, is cut.
Name Change:
Lasso, the gun that ate the Inu Inu (Dog Dog) Fruit: Model Dachshund, now ate the Mutt Mutt Fruit.
Dialogue Edit:
Miss MC transforms and Usopp thinks that she's a penguin, which isn't mentioned in the dub.
Clip Edit:
The last scene in the dub is the part before Usopp gets hit with the ball that spun on the sand. It was a still picture. In the original, there's a bit more after that. There's a still of Miss MC, Usopp, and Chopper. Then a huge explosion occurs, with Usopp yelling as the explosion continues.
Hmm, no screenshots this time! But, to compensate for that, there's an awful lot of jokes, puns and dialogue changes like always...
