Episode 085: The Weather Forcer
(Episode 117: Nami's Whirlwind Warning! Clima Tact Explosion)
Clip Edit:
A face shot of Vivi at the very beginning switches places with the back shot of her you see at the beginning of the dub.
After some exchanges, Vivi closes her eyes while shouting at Crocodile. Before you see his grim face, a shot of Vivi from far away (Croc's feet are the closest things to the camera) is gone.
In Nami's mind, there is a flashback with Usopp on the ship. At the beginning of it, a few things are missing. There's a hammer striking something, which causes Chopper's bubble to pop. Nami exclaims to Usopp that she wants to be stronger for Vivi's sake. You also see Luffy sneaking around, eventually getting Nami's attention so she can see what he did to Chopper. It looks like he used those nose chopsticks on Chopper while he was sleeping. Chopper eventually wakes up, breaking the chopsticks. Luffy laughs, but Nami throws both of them out of the room with a couple of buckets. Nami closes the door behind her, which is the first thing you should see in the dub.
Digital Edit:
"Usopp's Workshop" below the part where Usopp is sitting is erased.
Clip Edit:
Before seeing a close up of Usopp's tools, two shots are cut. One is of Nami talking to Usopp, and another is Zoro walking by with a giant weight; he notices Luffy and Chopper standing against the wall holding a bunch of buckets. An interesting thing to note is that if you look at the bottom right-hand corner during the close up of Usopp's tools, you can see a bit of Japanese writing (Usopp's name)!
When Nami desperately asks Usopp to give her power, Usopp placing a tool on the floor is cut.
Usopp smiles at Nami after agreeing to give her a weapon. That's when the flashback in the dub ends, however, there are a few things missing. Nami clasps her hands together and thanks Usopp, while Usopp wants to discuss about the cost of the materials. Nami holds his hands, thanks him more, and before Usopp could furthermore speak, Nami wishes him luck and leaves. Nami dismisses Luffy and Chopper, while Usopp is left in the dust.
Before you see Miss DF putting her fingers to the wall, Nami slumps over at her predicament. The dub switches scenes before you see Nami lightly bang her head against the wall.
Digital Edit:

This edit can be seen even before this shot. (if you pause it when it's just close up, it looks like Nami gets stabbed through the shoulder in the original, unlike the dub) The end of the thorn here is erased.
Clip Edit:
Before Nami hits the ground, a bit of blood splatting on the ground is cut.
Name Change:
Toge Toge (Thorn) Fruit -> Spike Spike Fruit, probably not a surprise if you played the US GB.
As you probably guessed from the title, the Clima Tact becomes the Weather Forcer.
Fine Tempo -> Tempest
Cloudy Tempo -> Cloudy Tempest
Clip Edit:
After Cloudy Tempest, Nami throws her weapon down. One of the doves walks by, and when it gets close to Nami, Nami squeezes the crap out of it in anger, which of course, is cut!
Dialogue Edit:
Miss DF felt sorry for Nami in the original! In the dub, she hoped that what Nami had wasn't contagious.
Clip Edit:
After a bit of fighting and running away, Nami takes a look at her instructions, but once she tries to take out her Clima Tact again, she notices the half-dead dove in her fist! Bringing out the dove is cut, and the dub switches scenes right before she brings out the dove.
Name Change:
Nami's Thunder Tempo -> Thunder Tempest.
Miss DF's Stinger Finger -> Finger Stinger, just a change of order.
Clip Edit:
Before Nami frantically flees from her attack, she gets hit in the face. The close up on her face getting cut is... well, cut. Quite interesting, the cut on her cheek as she runs is kept.
Digital Edit:

Well, Usopp's manual wasn't erased before, but this time it is. No consistency!
Name Change:
Stniger Hedgehog -> Hedgehog Stinger.
Clip Edit:
As Nami dashes into abuilding, Miss DF goes after her while in hedgehog-mode. After you see Miss DF's face close up, the part that is cut out is Nami ripping off her cloak - this used to occur before you see her wrap Miss DF into it.
Digital Edit:
Nami hides again and studies the manual. The manual is erased again, but once she begins to flip it over, it's there now! Yes, it's double-sided!
Clip Edit:
Nami faces Miss DF again! Before spinning her tact, she rips her dress and pulls her necklace off, both which were taken out.
Digital Edit:

Peace, Ms. NY's Eve, peace.
Name Change:
Heat Ball -> Heat Orb
Cool Ball -> Cool Orb
Thunder Ball -> Thunder Orb
Clip Edit:
Before seeing Miss DF's feet from her point of view (she's about to launch an attack), she taps a bit of ashes from her cigar (the ashes landing on the ground in this shot are missing). But since it (usually) doesn't exist in the dub, this is cut.
Name Change:
Sewing Stinger -> Stiletto Stinger. Good job on referencing dangerous weapons!
Digital Edit:

You can even hear it, but Nami gets her leg stabbed by Miss DF's thorn.
Name Change:
Stinger Step -> Stinger Stomp.
Digital Edit:

So the Clima Tact shoots Miss DF away (appearing like a cross in both versions!) but when it comes back to connect, one of them goes missing in the dub! And you must know why! (This continues in the next two shots, by the way)
Name Change:
Cyclone Tempo -> Cyclone Tempest... I think you get it now. :)
Digital Edit:

Edited!
You know when the dove flies by and reveals Nami's mirage? Well, other than the thorn in her chest that got erased, you know that she got added clothing since the beginning of Arabasta, to reduce the cleavage. But, as the mirage fades, you can mysteriously see the bit of clothing disappear... it would've been extremely difficult to continue with the edit in this situation! (But they still erased the line on her chest, nevertheless!)
Dialogue Edit:
Nami's short explanation of the mirage included the change in temperature, but nothing about increasing density of the air, causing the light to refract.
Miss DF was amazed that it was such close range, but in the dub she was surprised that something like that was possible with that "blow stick"!
Clip Edit:
We head back to the palace... the first shots, which include close ups of Cobra's bloody hand and shoulder, are cut.
Digital Edit:

Aye, because something like this happened to him. There be blood on the wall!
Clip Edit:
After Crocodile speaks for the first time in this scene, he lights his cigar with both hands (a tiny mistake on Toei's part) before the camera changes and this is cut out.
Digital Edit:

And Crocodile continues to suffer from Chaser-ism.
Mistake:

Ah-HA! Crocodile's cigar SPOTTED!
