  Episode 66: The Sand Trap
(Episode 98: Here Come the Desert Pirates! The Men Who Live Free)

     Clip Edit:
Right after the title, we have our very first edit. Luffy dying for water is cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
Luffy drops his stick and doesn't respond to Usopp when called. Usopp is given thought dialogue during a silent moment.

     Name Change:
Mezcal Cacti -> Wacky Cacti

     Dialogue Edit:
Eh, well, even Luffy calls the hallucination a "creep". Anyways, they added a typical deep roaring King Kong sound when he bangs his chest.

Zoro asks where Ace might be, and Usopp responds but he doesn't in the dub.

     Clip Edit:
Usopp climbs further up the sand when he hears a strange noise. In the dub, he's already more than half way up.

     Dialogue Edit:
He gets added dialogue when he makes it to the top. It was originally silent.

And some more when we see a back zoomed out shot of the four.

I think everyone exclaimed "A PIRATE SHIP!?", but in the dub it was only Zoro.

     Technique Name Change:
I have no idea what Luffy shouted, but it wasn't Hittakuri's translation (Grapple). Maybe it was "Thirsty"?

     Dialogue Edit:
Someone called the captain's name during a silent scene before a little umbrella opens up from the captain's head.

     Clip Edit:
After Nami gets mad at Luffy for agreeing to eat the camel the first time, the next scene is gone. It was a view of their ship, which is when the captain introduces himself.

Just a bit of the pirate crew crying about the broken mast is cut out.

     Dialogue Edit:
They've called themselves the Sand Tribe, rather than the Sand Pirates.

Ace isn't supposed to talk when he first meets with one of the Erimaki Runners.

Uh, what! In the dub, Luffy asks if there's a forest nearby so he could get some wood. I don't think he's that stupid!

Vivi gets added dialogue after she looks at the person who tried to kill her.

     Clip Edit:
Rasa grins when Vivi agrees to riding the sand sled with Luffy. After that, instead of just going on to the next screen normally, it fades to the next screen.

Luffy and Vivi talk to each other as the sled moves, and the camera is focused on Luffy's smiling face. The dub goes to the next scene before he changes his expression during his chat with Vivi.

     Dialogue Edit:
It seems that this time, Vivi is missing a line of dialogue when Rasa's sled is seen to be behind theirs.

     Clip Edit:
When Rasa tells us that she has met Vivi before, a shot of a little girl looking at the sunset is cut out. This is from her memories.

A bunch of people on camels riding. At some point, we take a look at how Ace is doing again. Except, there were some clips before Ace that were cut. One of the guys spotted them and was calling everyone. Zoro and Sanji were holding wood and wondered what was going on.

     Color Change:
Green rifles. Lots.

     Dialogue Edit:
Ace got extra dialogue as he was trying to go past the lizard.

Usopp too, while the camera's on the moving sand.

     Clip Edit:
One of the bandits talk. There are some points where his mouth puckers up from talking (that's a weird way to explain it), but anyways, in the dub his expression doesn't change.

Right after, a close up side shot of a dung beetle rolling a ball up is removed. It's called a Big Dung Roller, but in the dub it's called the Pooper Trooper.

     Dialogue Edit:
As you can imagine, a lot of "poop" lines in response.
