So what's the big deal with One Piece's edits? Here you can check out just a little bit of what's going on. Why are the fans upset? Well..!!

These are the most common edits that are constant pretty much throughout the whole series. Blood, rifles, Navy-Marine and Sanji digital edits are probably the only edits I won't repeat over and over, and as for dialogue, I won't be mentioning swears, the word "death", nor dialogue that aren't important (although I went all out on the episodes where Sanji debuted, because I'm an upset little fan :D).

- Zoro's name is dubbed Zolo. Viz first used Zoro in Shonen Jump, but then changed to Zolo as soon as the 4Kids version of One Piece aired.

- Sanji has a red lollipop in his mouth rather than a cigarette and the smoke that sometimes come from the cigarette are all gone.

- East Blue, West Blue, North Blue, and South Blue have been changed to Eastern Seas, Western Seas, Northern Seas, and Southern Seas. The 4Kids.tv website however, mentions East Blue. The episodes of the Baratie arc have been frequently mentioning "East Blue Sea" now. All Blue is called the Great Blue.

- Anything that has the word Marine has been digitally editted to Navy (and notice the missing Kanji too).

- All sorts of guns are digitally changed to cap guns, cork guns, hammer-spring-thing guns, or water guns. Most guns now just have a different color.

- And the infamous Hammer Gun, which is something no one will.. forget.

- All blood is wiped clean, though sometimes 4Kids forgets to do it..

- The original BGM that plays during scenes has been changed to 4Kids' own original BGM.

- The eyecatcher that happens half way through the original One Piece (before and after Japanese commercials) has been taken out.

- The endings and Next Episode Previews at the end of the episode were taken out, but after each episode 4Kids make their own Next Episode Previews.

- Any reference to wine has been editted to juice or some other liquid, the colors of it and sometimes the bottle gets changed.

- Luffy's "Gomu Gomu no" technique names have been altered slightly. Because most of his moves are named after weapons (Pistol, Bazooka, Gattling Gun, etc) they have a "toned down" name. For example, Gomu Gomu no Pistol was changed to Gum Gum Blast. I would imagine that other Devil Fruit names have been altered in some way also.

- Devil Fruits are now called Cursed Fruits.

- As a show aired on a kids channel, all swears are gone.

- There will ALWAYS be a few seconds cut off or added on during the whole episode in the dub.

- Crosses, even medical crosses are either erased or digitally editted.
